Awarded to someone who has made a positive impact to rural New Zealand is our very own Dr Jo Scott-Jones, the chair of the Network. Read on >

Dr Jo Scott-Jones has a "vision for a truly sustainable rural health service in New Zealand - one that addresses the workforce shortages in rural healthcare" and he'd like to see it grow from the grassroots. 

The rural health club ‘Grassroots’ that awarded the trophy is based at the University of Auckland where it encourages rural health careers to rural students. It also promotes everything that rural living offers to bring back those who have moved away, and entice newcomers to a life where community is at the core.
