NZLocums & NZMedJobs is a New Zealand based medical recruitment organisation that recruits general practitioners (family physicians) and nurse practitioners. We are a division of the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network (NZRGPN) and the only recruitment scheme of its kind funded by the Government to assist rural general practice with their recruitment and retention needs. Our service is free to doctors and rural practices.
In addition to our work in rural New Zealand, NZLocums & NZMedJobs supports and assists urban general practices nationwide, providing expert GP recruitment services.
Internationally trained general practitioners and nurse practitioners who are recruited through NZLocums & NZMedJobs will attend a comprehensive Orientation Course in Wellington free of charge. The three day course is tailor-made to prepare overseas doctors for their new posts in New Zealand. It has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and has been successfully running for over 10 years.

- Placing you in direct contact with GPs and administrative staff at the prospective practice

“NZLocums is such a wonderful service. They helped me through the whole process of finding a job including thinking about visas,
medical council registration, different areas in NZ and getting all the different forms done. They listened to what kind of job I wanted and
came up with a range of options. Replied to emails promptly and were very friendly and patient.” – UK, 2018
“Thank you so much for your expertise in guiding me through this process, it made such a difference. I understand why NZLocums is so valuable as many doctors would be overwhelmed by the process without such guidance. Hope to see you when we return.” – USA, 2016
