Luke has a wealth of experience in medical recruitment, staff and business management beginning well over a decade ago at the Medical Council of New Zealand where he gained an in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand registration process and systems. Luke has since worked extensively in both Australia and New Zealand as a medical recruitment consultant. He values open and friendly communication to build effective relationships, sets high standards for himself and strives to deliver the best possible service. Luke spends most of his free time ferrying his children to their many events and enjoying outdoor activities.
Jenny Butt
Senior Relationship Manager
Jenny joined NZLocums in 2017 bringing skills gained from working in international recruitment, as well as assessment and continuing professional development of overseas doctors. She takes pride in providing high level assistance to candidates and clients and aims to provide a friendly professionalism that instils confidence in both. Jenny enjoys travelling and in her spare time, enjoys exploring the parks and walkways around New Zealand and being an avid runner, she has run on many scenic tracks.
Debra Wilson

Debra joined NZLocums in April 2021 bringing her extensive experience working as a professional nurse advisor, lecturer, and researcher. Her in-depth knowledge of professional regulation, registration and the New Zealand health care system guides her work as relationship manager. Her commitment to working in partnership with both candidates and clients is reflected in her warm and clear communication style. Debra loves to travel: she has practiced as a nurse in Scotland and England and has explored much of Europe and South East Asia. She has hiked most of New Zealand’s great walks and cautiously skis the blue runs of many South Island ski fields.
David Davenport-Brown
Senior Relationship Manager - NZMedJobs
David has joined the team after 5 years in agency recruitment. Working for a generalist agency recruiting for both permanent and contract placements, he has excellent relationship management experience for both candidates and clients. Prior to that David worked in business development roles in the tech sector. One of David’s passions is travel and along with big road trips, he has worked in Australia and the UK. In his spare time David is involved in his sons’ sports, being a family “taxi driver”, cheering on the All Blacks and Hurricanes, and is looking at a hobby of small-batch gin distillation.
John Ferguson
Relationship Manager
John joined the NZLocum team in March 2022. John’s varied experience includes working within design, operational management, client relationship, contracting abroad and logistics. His interests include cooking, eating, reading, music, travelling and scenic walks beyond the letterbox (Milford Track is a favourite). He is also an avid supporter of the All Blacks and anyone who’s playing Australia.
Jason Ng
Recruitment Co-ordinator
Jason comes from a background in recruitment and medical/health administration. He holds a Bachelor in Commerce and Administration specialising in Management and Marketing. He enjoys travelling, having visited countries in the UK, Asia, Americas and Australasia. Jason joined the team in 2015.
