NZLocums Orientation in November

12 General Practitioners from four countries attended NZLocums Orientation course in Wellington from 4 – 6 November. Five of them travelled from the UK, four from the United States, and others from the Netherlands and Australia.

The three-day course introduced them to New Zealand’s health system including ACC, Work and Income, Pharmac, and MedTech 32 training. It also provided two sessions that were focused on Maori history and health.

Orientation is also a great networking opportunity for newly arrived international doctors to meet others in a similar situation.
