Role
We are a friendly practice requiring a permanent General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician). The role has 8 to 10 sessions (4-5 days) per week with minor on-call.
Join our supportive team of doctors, nurses and support staff offering high quality, friendly and professional healthcare service. You will see a variety of age groups from newborn babies to elderly patients living in residential care facilities.
Practice
The practice has approximately 3900 registered patients. There are 4 consulting rooms and 2 nurse treatment rooms.
The practice pride themselves on their collaborative team culture, their ability to communicate well and always look out for one another. The nurses and admin team have significant experience and are able to provide a lot of support and guidance to new physicians joining the practice.
Everyone is committed to creating a progressive and sustainable practice and the team are in the process of developing a model of care that is more proactive for their patients to provide them with a more positive experience.
Location
Ashburton is a large town located a short drive from Christchurch and is situated in the heart of the Canterbury Plains. Ashburton is the hub of the Mid Canterbury’s, combining city facilities and vibrancy with smaller town friendliness. You’ll enjoy a nationally recognised art gallery and aviation museum and a relaxing laid-back country atmosphere.
Lake Hood, on the outskirts of Ashburton is a paradise for water enthusiasts, with a wide range of activities including swimming to yachting, boating and waterskiing as well as a range of accommodation in Ashburton. Enjoy coffee or dining at the lakefront restaurant and watch the world go by.
