It is easily accessible through the international airport and scenic rail services. Christchurch is currently going through an exciting time of development, and inside the city you will find modern, state of the art architecture alongside heritage buildings. You can also enjoy galleries, theatres and ample shopping. Affectionately known as the ‘Garden City’, there are plenty of parks and walks to enjoy. The city is bordered on the east by the Pacific Ocean, which provides long stretches of beautiful beaches, and the smaller bays of Banks Peninsula.
Within two hours of Christchurch you can ski at a world-class alpine resort, play golf, bungy jump, rafting, mountain bike, hike, wind surf, whale watch and visit internationally-acclaimed wineries and gardens.
