Darfield is a quaint little town situated on State Highway 73, a mere 30 minutes’ drive from the city of Christchurch. The area is known for its gorgeous spring-time blossoms and some of New Zealand’s highest temperatures come summertime. Darfield is a popular region for hot air ballooning, where you can enjoy the exhilaration of the towering snow-capped mountains and panoramic views of the Canterbury plains! Head down south where you can visit the three main ski fields– Canterbury Ski region, Mount Cook Mackenzie area and the Queenstown/Wanaka regions.
