Role
This practice is looking to recruit a General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician) working 30+ hours per week (negotiable) with some weekend/afterhours required.
We are looking for a GP who is approachable, selfless, prepared to work with, support and contribute to an existing close-knit team. Someone who is passionate about general medical and able to adapt/grow their skills to meet the extended needs of Rural Health.
A generous salary and remuneration package – including assistance with accommodation and vehicle costs. Medical indemnity insurance will also be paid for.
Practice
This practice is a not-for-profit organisation owned by the Hanmer Springs Community Trust. You will be joining a friendly, caring, and committed team of health professionals and will see a variety of patients from residents to out of towners. We are a forward-thinking Health Centre with a focus on leading the way for future health care in our wider community.
Location
This is an exciting work opportunity to work in the picturesque Alpine Village of Hanmer Springs.
The township is surrounded by mountains and forests and is home to the famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa. If you are lucky enough to live in Hanmer Springs you will enjoy all that is great about this town from forest walks and mountain biking to a dip in the pools. These are all literally on your back doorstep.
With a resident population of approximately one thousand people Hanmer Springs has facilities and services not normally found in smaller towns. Numerous restaurants and cafes, a well-stocked supermarket, shopping, trades services and schooling are all provided. The vibrant community, whilst focused on servicing the tourism industry, has a strong focus on providing services for its own people too. Located only 90 minutes north of Christchurch City means that all the trappings of a big city are within easy reach for you too.
