We are seeking qualified GPs for either part time, permanent or business owner positions in a large health care centre based in heart of Hastings. Staff at this practice are proud to provide high quality, comprehensive family health care, with personalised family health care as the backbone of their philosophy.
The centre employs 26 GPs, many of whom are business owners working with various business models to suit their individual preferences. The clinic is divided into GP suites, and each suite contains two or more General Practitioners and their individual nursing and administration teams.
This is a growing and forward thinking practice. The strong senior leadership and financial teams take care of the day to day running of the individual businesses, so GPs can concentrate on taking care of their patients. Doctors here enjoy a highly supportive collegial environment with a special, unique culture. Hours per week are negotiable and monthly GP and peer review meetings are held on site.
As well as the main facility is in Hastings there is a small clinic in Havelock North; due to growth there are vacancies at both clinics.
If you are interested in joining this practice as a business owner, part owner or salaried GP, we would love to hear from you.
Hawke’s Bay lies on the east coast of the North Island and enjoys some of the best weather; long warm summers (25°C) and short mild winters. The surrounding countryside is beautifully adorned with vineyards; and beaches are just 40 minutes away. Taupo (in the middle of the island) is a two hour drive, ski fields are also close by.
Hawkes Bay has an abundance of outdoor activities with beaches, mountain biking, hiking and golfing. In summer there are many events including the Spring Racing Carnival, the Blossom Parade, the Hawke’s Bay Food and Wine Festival and various other winery events. A favourite past-time amongst locals is visiting Te Mata Peak with its breath-taking views. You can either walk or cycle to the top, there are lots of trails for mountain biking on the mountain. At the bottom you can journey through a 100 year old Lower Redwoods forest. This region is perfect for the growth of stone fruits and grapes. There are many vineyards to visit, which you can combine in cycle tours while enjoying the spectacular vistas.
Hawkes Bay offers numerous primary and secondary schools, district libraries and is home to New Zealand’s only water theme park – Splash Planet. There are five main rivers popular for jet boating, kayaking and swimming. Cape Kidnappers is a headland that is home to a luxury golf course and the largest gannet colony in the world, with over 50,000 birds! Ocean Beach is the region’s premier beach. During the summer months it has hundreds of beach goers, it’s safe for swimming and golden sand stretches out for 10kms in each direction!
