Role

The practice is seeking a locum to cover 8 sessions a week but they are flexible. There is no on-call. The practice operates in a renovated building with two doctors rooms, three treatment rooms and nurses’ station, a short distance from the centre of Huntly town itself.  There is a Pathology Lab and pharmacy services available next door. Minor surgery and mental health services are also available in the practice.  The GPs will occasionally visit a local aged care facility.

Travel and accommodation costs will be covered along with a competitive session rate! Love Locum Life!

Location

Huntly lies beside New Zealand’s longest river, the Waikato River and is also home to the country’s largest thermal power station.  The town is surrounded by lakes, walks and rich farmland and is 30 minutes to the nearest city of Hamilton.  Huntly has all the amenities you need from shops, banks, churches, library and schools.  The weather is pleasant all year round with warm summers and mild winters. Auckland City, Raglan beach, Waihi Beach and Nikau caves are only one hour away.

The Waikato region has the Waitomo Caves where you can see glow worms in their limestone environment and the Hobbiton movie set and many more tourist attractions.
