We are seeking a friendly general practitioner to join a supportive team. You will be working 8 to 10 sessions per week with no weekend on-call, which will give you plenty of leisure time.
If you are sociable, honest, caring and professional then this is the perfect role for you. A female GP is preferred.
The practice has approximately 4000 enrolled patients. The local population is mainly employed in the agricultural industry although there is also large number of elderly retired people. Most patients are New Zealand European with a small Māori population.
This is a teaching practice with four consulting rooms, a nurse consulting room, a treatment room and tea- room.
Leeston is a town on the Canterbury Plains in the South Island of New Zealand. It is located 40 kilometres southwest of Christchurch, between the shore of Lake Ellesmere and the mouth of the Rakaia River. The town is a farming service centre, but has all the necessities for a real township such as a supermarket, schools, churches, hospital (for elderly care only) and a small open swimming pool.
Leeston is nestled in some of New Zealand’s best tourist destinations, Queenstown, Wanaka and Akaroa. This region has some of the best skiing and mountain climbing in New Zealand.
