A permanent General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician) is required in sunny Nelson. You will be working 7 to 8 sessions per week (4 days).
There is an on-call requirement to work at the Medical and Injury Centre on a pro rata basis based on sessions with all other GP’s. This is part of a region wide after-hours solution which means a relatively low requirement per GP.
If you are dedicated and passionate, with sound communication skills then this is the role for you!
The practice has an established patient base of around 6200 with a broad and varied demographic.
There is an experienced and supportive team of 6 GPs, nurses, admin staff and allied health colleagues.
The practice offers excellent collegial support and provides the highest quality healthcare services to our community. The practice is also Foundation Accredited and a RNZCGP Teaching Practice.
Nelson is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, with diverse geography capturing everything from long golden beaches to untouched forests and rugged mountains.
The Nelson/Tasman region often tops New Zealand’s sunshine hours. It also boasts productive tourism, wine, horticulture and fishing industries.
