A full time General Practitioner is sought to join this welcoming South Island practice for 8 sessions per week, Monday to Friday. Minimal on-call requirements are shared with other practices in the area, consisting of 1:21 weekdays and one weekend every three months. A competitive salary package is on offer, including assistance with accommodation, vehicle and negotiable relocation costs.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-equipped and modern practice, with a team that truly cares about their doctors and patients alike. You will be joining a friendly team of three existing GPs and established administrative team working within this centrally located, bright and spacious surgery. The practice is locally supported with a community hospital, A&E, X-Ray, CT and visiting specialist services.

Enjoy a spot of fishing in sea or the Waitaki River, or pay a visit to the penguin colonies. The nearby Waitaki Valley Lakes offer jet boating, sailing and water skiing. A great base to explore the delights of the Central Otago region, ski fields and mountains.
Oamaru is a beautiful harbour town located on the east coast of the South Island. It is a three hour drive north to Christchurch or 90 minutes south to Dunedin. There are plenty of weekend activities available, get out and explore the museums, shops and galleries or enjoy the many walking and cycling trails, wildlife, or other outdoor activities the area has on offer. With schooling in and around Oamaru and universities a few hours’ drive away, the children would benefit from this beautiful location.
