Role
A permanent General Practitioner (Family Medicine Physician) is wanted to join this fantastic team. This is a permanent position working a minimum of 8 sessions per week (4 days) and no on-call.
This practice is Stratford’s largest practice and has a wonderful long serving team of three other full time General Practitioners, a Practice Manager, four practice nurses, office administrator and three receptionists. The practice currently services approximately 5000 patients. Surgery hours are Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

An attractive remuneration package is on offer. The practice will provide 4 weeks accommodation and 4 weeks vehicle on arrival. The Medical Council registration and medical indemnity insurance costs are covered by the practice.
Location
Stratford is 14 kilometres from Egmont National Park and is the main access to Mt Egmont (also known as Mt Taranaki). It is the most climbed mountain in New Zealand with more than 300 kilometres of walking track on offer. One of the most popular walks is Wilkies Pools – a series of eroded rock pools connected with gentle waterfalls. Mt Taranaki also has a ski field (Manganui), which is most suitable for advanced skiers. Sea fishing and diving are other popular activities with world-class breaks bringing in surfers from afar along ‘Surf Highway 45’. Stratford is only 40 minutes away from the city of New Plymouth which has an extensive range of shopping and services.
