Role

We are looking for a permanent or long-term General Practitioner (Family Medicine) who can work 20 hours per week (negotiable) with weekend and weekday 1:4 on-call requirements.

This is one of several clinics within Ngati Porou Hauora health services located in the East Coast region.

The tight knit team are looking for a natural team player who enjoys clinical variety and has a strong focus on patient quality. If you enjoy the benefits of a collegial and supportive team, are easy-going but well organised then this is the perfect role for you!

Benefits

The practice will reimburse you for your Practising Certificate and Medical Indemnity insurance. A work vehicle is also provided.

Location

Located on the sunny East Coast of the North Island, the small township of Tolaga Bay is located 50 minutes drive North of Gisborne, the first city in the world to see the sun each day,

The Māori name for the district is Tairawhiti which means “The coast upon which the sun shines across the water”. Kaiti Beach, near the city, was where the Māori migration Waka, Horouta, landed; and is also the first European landing place in New Zealand.

Gisborne’s natural attractions include renowned surfing breaks, perfect swimming beaches, and miles of untouched coastline. There are many garden attractions, excellent bush, farm and wilderness walks, New Zealand’s best fly-fishing rivers, award winning wineries to visit and unique tourism activities.
