You will be well supported with the practice nurses and administrative staff working alongside you, to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

There is accommodation and vehicle assistance if being considered for a long-term appointment. Relocation costs are negotiable. The practice will also cover Medical Council registration and medical indemnity cover.
Located in the Hawke’s Bay, where the Wairoa River meets the Pacific Ocean, Wairoa is a small but well-resourced town. From the latest census the population has been counted as 4,500, with a further 4,000 in the surrounding district. The region has a special and diverse beauty and is the access way to the popular beaches of Mahia Peninsula, as well as the wilderness area of Te Urewera National Park. A recently completed recreation centre includes a heated 25 meter indoor swimming pool, large gymnasium, weight room, aerobics and modern ropes course. The hot springs are only a 40 minute drive away.
The practice itself is only a 5 minute drive to the Wairoa township and is also based on the Wairoa Hospital site. It is also located in close proximity to the only secondary school, Wairoa College, four primary schools and several play centres and childcare facilities.
