General Practitioner (Family Medicine)

Role
This is a permanent or long-term position for a General Practitioner (Family Medicine Physician), you will be working 6 to 8 sessions per week (3-4 days) with minimal on-call requirement.
We are looking for a calm competent doctor who is a team player with good communication skills and a wide knowledge base.
Practice
We see a wide variety of patients including acute/accidents, long term, mental health and sexual health.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, humour, and a willingness to go the extra mile. We are a friendly and local team and our staff turnover is low.

Warkworth might only be 45 minutes away from Auckland, but it feels a whole a world away! You can relish the best of both worlds! With many beautiful regional parks in the vicinity your weekends need never be dull, not to mention a host of beaches offering snorkelling, diving (especially at well-known Goat Island marine reserve) and paddle boarding. Other attractions include farmers’ markets, gelato bars and vineyards around Matakana.
Warkworth has three kindergartens, a primary school and a secondary school and all the local amenities you would expect of a town of its size. The population is approximately 4,000 and the climate is warm and temperate with summers seeing the mercury hit the high 20’s.
