We are a friendly practice requiring a permanent General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician). The role has 6 sessions (3 days) per week, with an accident/after-hours Medical Centre roster.
This practice has 7 consulting rooms in total (4 GP, 2 nurse plus a treatment room). Located in the central city close to shops, transport, parks and the waterfront.
The practices covers a range of services- children’s health / immunisation, smoking cessation support, diabetes care, diagnostic tests, osteoporosis treatments, travel advice, vaccinations and much more.
The patient numbers are approximately 6000. Mainly aged between 25 and 65 years, living and working near the practice but also from further away. Most identify as NZ European/Pakeha and with around 7-8% Maori.
We are a friendly, cohesive, collegial team putting patients at the centre of all our activities. A circular rather than hierarchical team structure, where all contributions are valued. We are committed to inclusiveness and continuous quality improvement.

The city is situated alongside Wellington Harbour and surrounded by native forest. For outdoor enthusiasts there are a range of opportunities including Zealandia, the beautiful Kapiti Coast, the Wairarapa wine region and Rimutaka Forest Park.
