Role

We are a friendly practice requiring a permanent part-time General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician). The role has 6 sessions (3 days) per week.

Practice

This is a small inner city practice located in Wellington Central.

Our team of two GP’s, three Nurses, three Receptionists and a Practice Manager provide a friendly safe environment with a focus on professional holistic patient centred care.

Location

Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city; and with excellent cafes, restaurants, wine and craft beer, and a range of events, it is also known as New Zealand’s ‘Capital of Culture’. The city is home to many museums, theatres and arts festivals, including Te Papa Tongarewa (the Museum of New Zealand), the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, and the biennial Festival of the Arts.

Wellington is New Zealand’s centre of government, and third most populous urban area. It is also a leading centre for creative industries, such as film and computer technology.

Wellington is the centre of the film-making industry in New Zealand where movies such as Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong and Avatar were filmed. You can take a tour of the film-making experience at the Weta Workshop.

The city is situated alongside Wellington Harbour and surrounded by native forest. For outdoor enthusiasts there are a range of opportunities including Zealandia, the beautiful Kapiti Coast, the Wairarapa wine region and Rimutaka Forest Park.
