Role
We have a permanent vacancy for a General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician) to join a practice in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. The role is for 9 sessions (4.5 days) per week but this is negotiable.
Practice
This is a general practice committed to providing high-quality primary healthcare to enrolled patients in a family focussed community.
There are approximately 6000 registered patients with a wide patient base of all ages, 50% Maori and both high and low demographic base.
We serve a wide range of primary health care needs including- acute and chronic care, minor surgery, IUCD insertion, immunisation, spirometry and ECG.
Location
The practice is located in the Whakatane region, one of New Zealand’s most stunning coastlines. There are great restaurants and cafes, and a thriving arts and culture scene. The whole family will enjoy life in this gorgeous spot – a wonderful place for kids to grow up!
The opportunities for an outdoors lifestyle and adventure sports are endless, with kayaking, surfing, hiking, golf, fishing and mountain biking on offer. Ski fields and national parks are an easy drive away, offering brilliant weekend getaway options (if you ever get tired of the beach!).
